Do you know what Placebo is? It is a beneficial effect produced by a treatment, which cannot be attributed to the treatment itself, but to the treated person’s belief in that treatment. Let me elaborate, please:

I’m not feeling very well… I have a headache. My wife gives me a pill and tells me it will help. Because I trust her, I believe that by taking this pill, my headache will go away. And it does because of my belief in the effect of the pill, and not because of the chemical content of it. I’m telling my body, through my belief, the pain will go away as soon as the pill will be assimilated by my body. So, my brain does it’s magic and removes the pain. The pill could be anything.

When you meet somebody, and they ask you: “How are you?” what is your answer? You either reply by default, or you observe your inner self and state how you are. “How do you feel?” again you either reply by default, or you observe your inner self and state your feeling at that moment. When you state your feeling, your conscious mind communicates this info to your subconscious mind, and then it manifests through your body. So if you say “I’m not so good”, your subconscious mind will receive this info and work to match it.

The wonderful part is that it works both ways and we can use this knowledge to create the state of feeling we want. So instead of saying I feel bad you can tell your subconscious mind a white lie and say you feel great and your brain will do its magic to meet your expectations. So, if you’re not feeling very well you can say: “I feel great!”, “I feel awesome!” and I know you may think that doesn’t sound right, however, when you’re getting ready before an important event, don’t you use words like “C’mon, I can do this!” or “I’ve got this!” to help boost your confidence? This is no different you’re using the power of your own words to boost your confidence.

But we don’t have to wait for critical moments, events or situations to need this strategy. We can use it to improve our life, to boost our level of confidence on a regular basis, to transform ourselves into a leader for people to look up to us and follow us. Regardless we want to admit it or not, we communicate through our energy: you feel when something is not right, you feel when someone is a good person or not, a leader or a follower… they have that “something” about them that you can’t explain but you “know” it and you feel it.

Leaders all over the world use affirmations to boost themselves up, to transform themselves, and grow into a better version of themselves. The most trustworthy person in the world is you. You are your best friend and confidant. You listen to your own thoughts and act on them. The trouble is that most of the times our thoughts are negative because of the environment that we observe, but the good part is that it takes the same amount of energy to think a negative thought as it takes to think a positive one, so why not use this in our favor?

I am whole. I am perfect. I am strong. I am powerful. I am harmonious. I am loving. I am happy. I am healthy. I am wealthy. Money flows to me easily and frequently. It is safe for me to be rich. I am receiving more money now. I am a magnet for money. I am worthy of a wonderful life. Wealth is a natural part of my life. I am abundant. I am grateful that I attract abundance. I have the right tools to generate wealth. I am worth the money. Opportunities are coming to me now. Prosperity is drawn to me. I know what I am doing. The amount of money I can make is limitless. I am worthy of health, wealth, and love. I can afford anything I want. I make a lot of money and help a lot of people. I am abundant in all areas of my life. My actions create constant prosperity. Fear is only a feeling. I am a magnet for success. I expect more money to flow to me. I naturally attract good fortune. I am open and receptive to all the abundance the Universe provides me. I prosper with every breath I take. My life is abundant in every way. I am successful in all I do. My life is filled with love and beauty. I am grateful for each experience in my life. I am divinely guided and protected. I am excited to be alive. I believe all things are possible. I can do anything. I make a difference in this world. I have a perfect weight. I have perfect health. I am receiving every good thing.

To make it even more powerful go in front of a mirror, where you can see your top half. Pull in your stomach, keep your chest out and your head up. Breath deeply 3-4 times until you feel a sense of power, strength, and determination. Look into the very depths of your eyes, and say each affirmation aloud so you can see your lips move and you can hear the words. You can use this technique anytime you have a big meeting, presentation, interview, or anything else that makes you nervous or anxious and you need a boost of confidence.

Making these affirmations is like applying the Placebo effect on your mind and who do you trust the most if not yourself to tell you what’s best for you. Record them in your own voice and listen to them as often as possible or simply listen to one on YouTube, like the example below:
