Time is an illusion” – Albert Einstein

It is not a theory, it’s a fact. The past is only memory and the future is an imaginary creation of our mind, therefore time is an illusion as the only reality is NOW. You can’t live in the past and you can’t live in the future, you can only live in the present. You can’t change the past, and you can’t foresee the future, but you can change the present.

Do you believe in fate? What is fate for you? If you believe you are destined to live a certain life, you are right, and you will live the life that comes to you. If you believe you are destined to create your life, you are right, because you are the creator of your own life. You did read that right, no need to read it again, there is no mistake; I did say you are right in both circumstances and Henry Ford backs me up: “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.” The Buddha said the same thing approx 2400 years before that: “He who says he can and he who says he cannot, are both correct” The secret is in what you think.

You are responsible for your own life. You have to stop blaming others and circumstances for what happens in your life. I know it’s easier, but that doesn’t mean it’s right. We blame the city council for the holes in the road, but we’re the ones going through them. We blame supermarkets for their products, but we are the ones choosing to buy them, and we also say “I had no choice” when we do something stupid, and that’s just to avoid taking responsibility for our own actions. Have you ever said: “I had no choice” when you did something good? Have you? Come on, think about it! Nobody pushed you into doing the things you’ve done. You chose to do them for whatever reason or excuse you found and if you can’t accept this reality, you can’t create the life you want. Own your life, It’s yours!

If you can’t take responsibility for your actions in life, if you believe that others are to blame for your circumstances, you will always live a life dictated by others, you will always be at other people’s mercy, and live by their decisions; you’ll always have to ask for permission to do things, so how does that work for a free person? Change your belief because this doesn’t serve you well… this doesn’t serve you at all.

I recommend the following exercise: On a sheet of paper, or in your notebook, write down today’s date 1 year from now. So, whatever day it is you’re reading this, add 1 year and write it down as you would be in the future, in the present tense, as if it is a dairy, and you’re looking back, and you are grateful for it:

I am so happy and grateful now that…” and write down everything you want to accomplish in the next year in as much detail as possible. For instance, if you want a car, please write down the model, colour, specifications, etc., if it’s a house you want, again details of where it is, what you’ve got in it, who do you share it with and so on. If you want a certain relationship, please specify in details things you’ve done together, if it’s the health you want, please write in detail what exactly you’ve done as a result of being healthy, are you running, cycling, competing in Olympics? Be as specific as possible and when you’re done, end it with: “For all these and so many more I am truly grateful. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.”

Take this Gratitude Statement and read it out loud every morning. While reading it, close your eyes and “remember” all these things and how they happened in your life. Be grateful for them as you are for the things that happened in the last 24 hours and apply the same filling to them. Through repetition of this exercise, we make our minds believe we’ve already achieved what we want and expect to see it in our life. We align ourselves to a receiving frequency and allow the Universe to show us opportunities, we change the way our mind sees the world around us, and soon you’ll realize there were things in front of you all along, but you didn’t have the right “looking glass” to see them.

Do this exercise for 30 days and you’ll see miracles happening in your life.
