Peace is a state of tranquillity. We are at peace when everything is “perfect”. We are at peace when we find ourselves in a state of mind without thoughts, like when we’re meditating and “living in the now”. Peace is a state of harmony, quiet and calm.
You can’t be at peace if you reject the present, live in the past or chase the future. We get glimpses of peace when we meditate, we watch the fire in the fireplace, or listening to the ocean waves crashing onto the shores.
To live in peace is to accept, love and enjoy life just as it is. Nothing outside yourself can bring you peace, they can stimulate moments, but the real peace comes from inside, from within. You feel at peace when everything that manifests in your life is accepted by your inner self, loved and enjoyed. When you live in peace you don’t feel guilt, fear or anger. As you know, these are inner feelings caused by our resistance to “what is”. Give up on these feelings and you’ll find yourself at peace.
By the law of attraction, if you create moments of peace in your life, you attract more moments of peace and by being grateful for the moments of peace manifested, you attract even more moments of peace until such point your life will be at peace altogether.
Moments of peace can be created by finding a relaxation activity that works for you (i.e. meditation, fire, water, wind or simply complete quietness), unclutter your mind by writing down everything that buzzes you. Guessing creates anxiety, uncertainty, and misguided conclusions, so ask instead.
Wayne Dyer describes peace as “the result of retraining your mind to process life as it is, rather than as you think it should be.”
Albert Einstein said: “Peace cannot be kept by force, it can only be achieved by understanding.”
Dalai Lama encourages us to “not let the behavior of others destroy our inner peace” and Ralph Waldo Emerson states: “nobody can bring you peace but yourself.”
When you strive towards peace you find yourself at peace and rewarded with peace. You don’t have to look elsewhere for it but within you.
Find your peace in the things you’re doing. Rather than going against your will and belief, go with the flow, with your inner feeling and you will find peace. The energy you emanate on the frequency of peace floods the spirits of those around you, therefore if you aim for world peace start with you, as peace is contagious and spreads from one to another.
The moment you’re no longer searching for peace, that the moment you’ve found peace.
