The Law of Gender embodies the idea that gender is manifested in everything. This does not relate explicitly to the commonly understood notion of sex, but rather to procreation, to generate, to create, or to produce… in general. Gender manifests itself on all planes as Feminine and Masculine principles. Gender exists on all planes of existence: Physical, Mental, and Spiritual, and represents different aspects of different planes. Everything and everyone contains these two elements.

The Feminine is always in the direction of receiving impressions and has a much more varied field of operation than the Masculine. The Feminine conducts the work of generating new thoughts, concepts, and ideas, including the work of the imagination. The Masculine is always in the direction of giving out or expressing and contents itself with the Will. All things exist within the Law of Gender, and nothing can manifest into being without this law.

There is not one aspect of life and creation where the masculine and feminine principles remain non-existent or absent, it is an absolute truth that the Law of Gender is manifested within everything. It is impossible for creation to take place without this Universal Law in action. Whether organic or inorganic the Law of Gender will always apply to what has been manifested.

Our focus, though, is on the mind – the law of gender states that it has to be male and female in anything. In this instance, the mind can be divided into two: conscious and subconscious. The Conscious Mind is The Male and The Subconscious Mind is The Female.

The Conscious Mind is the awakened mind, the active part. Here, we create thoughts, ideas, we make decisions, and anything else we’re doing “consciously”. The Subconscious mind is the dormant one, the part that controls our behavior and habits, the one that controls our behavior “unconsciously”. The conscious mind can play with ideas and thoughts but they remain ideas and thoughts until such time they’re impregnated into the subconscious mind, to give them form through the manifestation of the body. The subconscious mind is incapable of creating ideas and thoughts, therefore it cannot create anything that hasn’t been impregnated in it.

Do you have an idea that you want to manifest? Great! Impregnate your subconscious mind with this idea, because only then and after a gestation period, your idea will be born and take form in the physical world. According to Neville Goddard, in his book “Feeling is the Secret“, the best time for the conscious mind to impregnate the subconscious mind with your idea is when you go to bed. The moment when our body and mind relax, the subconscious mind opens and allows the idea to sink into the subconscious. Conscious and subconscious become one and give form to your idea.

Once the idea has taken form in the subconscious mind, just like a pregnant mother, you have to care for it, love it, and look after it. Think of it every morning when you wake up, think of it every evening when you go to sleep, think of it all day long and with all the actions you take during the day be mindful of “you baby” because very soon when the time is right, and the gestation period has ended, you will have given birth to your beloved “child”… your idea takes form in the physical realm.

Look around you… different animals have different gestation periods… from the Virginian Opossum of about 12 days to the Indian Elephant of about 22 months, they all differ in length. The same are your ideas, but the difference is that you can give birth to both an “opossum idea” and an “elephant idea”. Just know that when the right time comes your idea will take form and you will be happy with your “new baby”. In the meantime, make all the preparations for the arrival of the new “baby”, the same way you’d do for a real baby.
